From fluid draping, pearl trims and paintbrush plissés to Venetian mirror-influenced metallics and a palette drawn from both the city and Giulia Lama’s painting itself, the Resort 2025 collection refines and softens the maximalism of Baroque Venice to reflect the effortless modernity of Lafayette 148’s minimalist New York City aesthetic. Naturally, all roads, and canal paths, come together to create an exquisite canvas to celebrate female creativity in all its forms—past, present and future.

I was given extraordinary access to see the restoration unfold at every step—from X-rays revealing drawing studies beneath the paint to the conservators uncovering vivid colors previously muted by time. I became deeply inspired by the craft behind the painting process, this period in Venice’s rich history, as well as the artist herself.”​
