Free Standard Shipping is available for all orders. In-stock items will ship from our New York warehouse within 1-3 business days. After the initial shipment, packages could take between 3-10 business days to arrive at your specified delivery address. All backordered items will ship via UPS ground, at no additional cost, once they are available.
Lafayette 148 New York does not offer Saturday delivery, and does not include Saturdays in expedited shipping times. In-stock items will ship the same day if the order is placed by 12:00 noon EST Monday – Friday.
- Unfortunately, we are not able to process orders for PO and APO boxes.
- Signatures are required on all shipments valued at $3,000 or more.
Expedited orders placed after 12:00 noon EST will ship via UPS on the next business day, given item availability. If an item is not currently in stock, we will indicate an expected ship date. These items will ship when available via our free UPS ground delivery option. Customer Care will contact you if there is any delay with your order.

For orders valuing $3,000 and above, Lafayette 148 New York requires a signature at the time of delivery.
If you are not home when the courier arrives for delivery, then UPS will leave a missed delivery notice with their contact details and additional delivery information. UPS will make up to three attempts to obtain a signature at the time of delivery.

Accessories and fur are subject to sales tax in New Jersey, Minnesota and Pennsylvania.
Lafayette 148 New York will gladly accept returns within 21 days of the ship date. A flat return fee of $10.00 will be deducted from your order for shipping and restocking. All items must be unworn with original tags attached and packed with the return slip. Multi-piece items must be returned in original condition with all pieces included. *Additional swimwear requirements apply—please refer to detailed Swimwear Return Policy below. Please note the reason for return on the return slip. Mail your items using the included pre-paid UPS Return Label. For your convenience, click here to find the nearest UPS drop off location . Insurance is included when using the provided pre-paid UPS Return Label.
*All swimwear must be returned in unused, original condition and with the protective hygienic liner intact, tags attached, and special packaging included (if applicable). Lafayette 148 New York does not accept returns on swimwear with any signs of wear or altered or removed hygienic liners.
If you elect to ship without the provided pre-paid label, shipping will be at your expense. You should track and insure your return so you know when we have received it and to protect the shipment if lost or damaged in transit. If you elect not to track or insure the package for the full value, you will be responsible for any loss or damage to the product during shipping. Lafayette148ny.com does not credit back expedited shipping charges incurred for the original shipment of an order.
For PayPal transactions, follow the normal return process as stated above. Do not use the dispute process for standard returns of merchandise. Returns must be processed on the same form of payment used for purchase. Though we process your credit immediately, please allow 1-2 billing cycles for it to appear on your statement.

Return Policy - Footwear
Lafayette 148 New York does not accept returns on worn footwear. When trying on footwear, stand on a carpeted floor to protect the soles of the shoe. All shoes must be unworn with original tags attached, including the dust bag and original box with the return slip (on the reverse).

Store Credit Policy
As of August 1, 2019, Lafayette 148 New York will be implementing a new store credit policy. All store credits will only be valid for 1 year from the date they are issued for use in store or online. As a courtesy, clients will receive a reminder by mail sixty days prior to expiration.
We do not have a direct exchange program. For a different size, color, or item, follow the return procedure, and then place a new order through our website or by calling our Customer Care Center at 1.888.448.1488.
Lafayette148ny.com will honor a one-time price adjustment on full-price merchandise ordered within ten days of price reductions. Items purchased on sale are eligible for a one-time price adjustment in the form of store credit if marked down to final sale within ten days of purchase. This applies to purchases made at lafayette148ny.com only.

From 2020 to 2022, Lafayette 148 New York sold The Laundress fabric cleaning and treatment products as Care & Cleaning Accessories. On December 1, 2022, The Laundress issued a recall of their products because of potential bacteria presence, including in those produced between January 2021 and September 2022. How are duty and taxes charged on international orders?

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL FEES?
In some cases you will see “Fees” listed along with duties and taxes when selecting to prepay at checkout. Additional fees, when applicable, may include customs clearance fees, dangerous goods fee, remote area surcharge, high value goods clearance, broker clearance, among others.
Lafayette 148 guarantees you will not be required to pay any additional cost on delivery when you prepay these fees at checkout, either by selecting to prepay duties and taxes at checkout or if you are shipping to a country that automatically ships without an additional payment of duties as listed below.

A flat shipping fee of $10USD (or the equivalent in your local currency) will be deducted from your order for return postage. Pick-ups are not included in this service. If duties & taxes are included in the product price, you will receive a full refund of those as well. Duties and taxes that are paid separately at checkout are nonrefundable, except for orders shipping to Canada. Please allow up to six (6) weeks for processing your return and receiving a credit from your financial institution.
