A new debut for Fall 2021, the Watts is a MID-RISE, STRAIGHT cut jean, engineered for ease with a more RELAXED FIT. A refined taper through the FULL-LENGTH hem gives it a POLISHED FINISH.

L148 Denim is created in partnership with Candiani, a family-run Italian mill known for their expertise in denim, honed over nearly a century. Their fabric is prized for its rich texture, beautiful color and exceptional durability, for that classic denim look and feel. Called “the greenest textile company in the blue world,” thanks to their dedication to sustainability and innovation, Candiani recycles all their waste into new products and more than half of their cotton fibers are sourced from sustainably managed farms.

There is an extraordinary level of artisanship found in every pair of L148 denim. To ensure this, the Lafayette 148 design team partners with an American denim house known for their mastery of wash techniques and incorporation of sustainable practices, including reducing water usage and chemicals. The jeans are made in their LA studio, where each L148 pair is hand-finished, including hand-sanding and grinding to achieve the unique highs and lows.
Every pair is one-of-a-kind — just like the woman who wears it.

From the Lafayette 148 design studio in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, Creative Director Emily Smith names each silhouette for her favorite city streets. The clean lines nod to NYC’s iconic buildings. And each pair is designed to enhance and celebrate a woman’s individuality.
