The Visual Merchandising Manager is responsible for executing and maintaining the visual identity of Lafayette 148 in NYC area retail and wholesale locations.



  • Travel between stores to merchandise according to visual directives
  • Ensure brand and visual merchandising standards are upheld throughout the market
  • Reinforce visual presentation standards and demonstrate best practices throughout the market
  • Ensure that company goals and objectives at the store level relate to product and visual merchandising
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with cross-functional Lafayette 148 partners and various key players throughout the market
  • Deliver in‐season feedback and recommendations relating to product, presentation and competition to the home office group
  • Conduct training sessions with wholesale merchants/visual teams and retail store associates to ensure merchandising direction is communicated and appropriate skills are taught in order to consistently maintain brand visual merchandising standards
  • Work on additional tasks as assigned


Desired Background:

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree



  • Six + years of retail visual management experience in multi‐store capacity



  • Strong on-site visual merchandising experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to follow direction and problem solve
  • Meticulous attention to detail and organized with excellent follow up skills
  • Must be able to interact across departmental divisions and integrate/collaborate with corporate partners
  • Maintain a positive, enthusiastic and energetic demeanor which helps foster an upbeat working environment
  • Proactive thinker, capable of anticipating problems and developing effective solutions
  • Flexible with ability to act independently
  • Ability to travel up to approximately 50%
  • knowledge of Macintosh and Adobe platform and digital camera skills
