Sr. Project Manager (Consultant)

The Sr. Project Manager Consultant, Store Design and Planning, is an experienced architectural/construction project manager and will be responsible for the design implementation & construction of new stores, remodels and renovations in the U.S. He/she will have heavy interface with internal teams, architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, etc., and manage the entire process from lease signing to store opening.


  • Provide lease review with respect to tenant improvements and landlord work letter
  • Establish and develop the design concept with the creative department
  • Develop and monitor project budget & schedule
  • Coordinate and interface with internal teams to determine the objectives and requirements of the project
  • Create preliminary design plans, including partition, electrical & lighting layouts
  • Prepare RFP documentation and facilitate the on-boarding of architects and other design consultants
  • Specify materials & furnishings such as light fixtures, wall finishes and flooring
  • Ensure project documentation is accurate, coordinated, and in compliance with building codes and other regulations
  • Prepare RFP documentation and facilitate the on-boarding of contractors and owner provided vendors
  • Supervise and manage the scheduling of all cross-functional teams (architects, engineers, millworkers, general contractors, etc.) to ensure initiatives meet corporate procedures and guidelines
  • Coordinate the ordering, delivering and installation of owner provided items included but not limited to: millwork, lights, sign, rugs/carpet, stone facade, storefront, fixtures & furniture and stock shelving
  • Quality check and review project contracts, shop-drawings, and project plans from external agencies to ensure consistence proposal concepts from submission to construction
  • Process consultant, contractor and vendor invoices
  • Prepare cost reports and regularly update, to track spending
  • Manage and monitor the construction process and coordinate with the assigned general contractor with respect to deliverables and owner subcontractor work
  • Conduct meetings as necessary to ensure continuity and proper coordination amongst stakeholders
  • Coordinate with internal retail team the merchandising of store prior to store opening and assist operations and tech team as necessary during store set-up and opening
  • Record-keeping for project completions, manage archives storage and finalize financial budget

Desired Background:

  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture or related field


  • Minimum 15 years’ experience working in architecture or related field
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience working in luxury retail as a Project Manager / Sr. Project Manager


  • Well versed in construction means and methodologies
  • Knowledge of IBC and ADA requirements
  • On site experience and problem resolution
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite ; SketchUP a plus
  • Essential that the candidate read and interpret architectural drawings; must have the ability to comprehend and produce construction sets, mill-working, MEP design and lighting design 
  • Understanding of creative components, cycle times, production and distribution of project phases
  • Ability to collaborate effectively, with minimal direction, within a team environment and independently. 
  • Must have a proactive work ethic with excellent time management
  • Travel (10%-20%) to various construction site to ensure directives/priorities and identify any outstanding issues
