The Sr. Coordinator, Employee Engagement & Development will be a key member of the HR team and will support training & development, employee experiences & recognition, and various HR projects. This role will be exposed to all facets of a luxury brand within the apparel industry and will contribute to the team by providing insight and ideas into all areas of HR.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Manages the Company summer internship program including liaising with managers, hiring and fully supporting interns as well as coordinating intern experiences
  • Partners with VP of HR to craft employee communications and leverage Company intranet
  • Partners with VP of HR to select and implement development initiatives; acts as trainer for compliance training and new HR policy/system roll outs
  • Coordinates scheduling and execution of all internal education initiatives such as Lunch and Learns
  • Stays abreast of evolving employment legislation in all relevant jurisdictions and ensures internal policies and processes adequately updated
  • Partners closely with site management and Office Services team regarding issues of concern for employee population
  • Reinvents Employment Recognition program
  • Coordinates Company gifts for employee personal milestones
  • Serves as a key driver of the Lafayette 148 Celebration Committee which plans and executes most internal Company events including Happy Hours, Birthday Celebrations, etc.
  • Actively participates in Employee Engagement task force to elevate Lafayette 148 benefits/experiences
  • Partners with HR and Marketing teams to articulate and leverage the Lafayette 148 employment brand

 

Qualifications:

  • Four-year degree (preferably a Human Resources) from an accredited college
  • 5+ years of HR related experience
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Discretion is a necessity
  • Must be organized with excellent follow-up skills
  • Team player and ability to prioritize/multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit
  • Excellent Excel, Word and Outlook skills required
