L148’s resident artist utilized the traditional art technique of cyanotype printing to create Pre-Fall 2024’s “Shadow” artwork, laying twigs—foraged from Marfa, Texas—atop specially coated paper and harnessing the sun to capture their natural silhouetted forms. The "Horizon" print illustrates the desert sun and juxtaposes the arid landscape through the use of watercolor painting.
