There’s a reason why cashmere is one of the world’s most coveted fibers. Its distinctive mix of softness and ultralight warmth makes it eight times warmer than sheep’s wool. And its distinctively velvety feel makes it the first thing we reach for when temperatures dip.
Our signature cashmere yarn is sourced from a single mill. Based in Italy for five generations, our partners pride themselves on being stewards of this precious fiber, from hand-harvesting the wool to carefully cultivating the health of the herds and herders.
To keep our cashmere smooth and pliable, we built a temperature-controlled room to mimic the cold, arid Mongolian climate where the fibers are grown. We even treat the water used to rinse the yarn, so as not to disrupt the fiber’s natural pH balance. It not only makes our knits supremely soft, but also unusually resilient.
