Driven by a desire to reengage with the world outside, Creative Director Emily Smith’s vision is an homage to conscious design and creativity: a tonal mix of textures with a commitment to sustainability.
For Creative Director Emily Smith, Fall offered an opportunity to reset and find a new way forward. “I think the last year gave us a chance to be more thoughtful in our choices. To reexamine the way we live and design, to approach our process more purposefully.”
Set amidst the verdant backdrop of New York City’s Central Park, elements of architecture and sculpture in the campaign landscape create an intriguing, dreamlike world where design and nature comingle to striking effect.
The collection’s impressionistic motifs are created from hand-painted watercolors that resonate with nature. Throughout the design process, Emily Smith found refuge in New York City’s leafy green spaces, planting the seed of inspiration that grew into the Lafayette 148 Fall/Winter campaign.
