The HR Assistant will be a key member of the HR team and will support talent acquisition, on-boarding and various HR projects, as well as provide general administrative support to the department. The Assistant will be exposed to all facets of a luxury brand within the apparel industry and will gain a solid generalist understanding of HR. This role reports to the HR Director.



  • Participate in the recruitment process, attend meetings with hiring managers, draft/update job descriptions and post positions on job boards
  • Assist with screening resumes and scheduling interviews
  • Provide support for the summer internship program (full cycle recruiting and activities)
  • Process applicant background checks
  • On-board/off-board employees; collect new hire paperwork, scan documents and distribute new hire packets
    • Put together the New Hire Kit (policies and benefit enrollment information)
    • Facilitate I.D Badges for new employees
    • Take the new hire photos
    • Follow up with the new hires for all their onboarding documents
    • File and scan the employee documents received
  • Completes first level resume screening for entry to mid-level roles
  • Manages recruitment for Assistants, Advisors and Stylist positions
  • Complete phone screenings as delegated
  • Participate in organizing the monthly birthday celebration
  • Coordinate new recruiting platform initiatives such as with LinkedIn
  • Draft and post welcome announcements on Discover
  • Provide administrative support to the VP, HR including processing monthly expense memos
  • Help support the Company intranet including posting monthly employee milestones
  • Perform other related duties and assignments as needed



  • Four-year degree (preferably a Human Resources) from an accredited college
  • Prior HR internships or course work experiences
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Discretion is a necessity
  • Must be organized with excellent follow-up skills
  • Team player and ability to prioritize/multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Must have a positive attitude and a collaborative spirit
  • Excellent Excel, Word and Outlook skills required
