Greene St – Sales Assistant

The Sales Assistant will perform daily operational tasks to ensure that the sales team and management are thoroughly supported in all aspects of driving business. He or she will provide excellent client experience through efficient flow of product, exceptional communication and follow up, and overall support of the Stylists and client relationships.


  • Consistently deliver memorable in-store experience to all clients
  • Support Stylists by expediting stock and assisting with client appointments; may be called upon to sell to clients on busier traffic days
  • Partner with Stylists to optimize fitting room experience (size selection, product go-backs)
  • Summarize notes & client preferences during the fitting process (add to Proximity Insights)
  • Coordinate flow of alterations, including completion of smartsheet and client follow up
  • Assist in the selling ceremony by using current technology to process transaction (Proximity Insights/RunIt)
  • Support Stylists with product transfers, communication of sold goods, and accommodating all selling process needs
  • Process all transactional data for sales, returns, client information capture/profiles
  • Conduct any necessary banking & cash / end of day reconciliation processes
  • Act with a client-first mentality in resolving issues and exceeding expectations
  • Provide assistance with stock room/floor maintenance and organization
  • Perform additional tasks as required

Desired Background:

  • Associates’ Degree or higher


  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a luxury retail environment


  • Highly organized and able to multitask effectively in an extremely fast-paced work environment
  • Elevated interpersonal and communication skills and ability to provide exceptional client service
  • Aptitude in resolving issues effectively with a client-focused mentality
  • Proficiency in MS Office and experience with / aptitude for learning SmartSheet software
  • Foreign language skills a plus
