Florida Area – Florida Area Manager

The Florida Area Manager, is responsible for maintaining Lafayette 148’s standards of Leadership, Client Care, Operational Excellence and Business-driving. He/she is responsible for top line sales and bottom-line profit for the area. He/she will leverage available tools and proven skills to lead a team in delivering extraordinary customer experiences, drive positive business results and ensure customer loyalty.



  • Undertake overall leadership responsibilities for his/her home-store location as well as additional boutiques in the Florida market
  • Demonstrate an elevated presence that translates the Company’s vision to both customers and staff
  • Lead by example, set clear expectations, and hold the team accountable
  • Provide leadership and tailored coaching to the teams by delivering ongoing training, development, and performance feedback
  • Ensure efficient flow of communication of both Company and Store initiatives, directives, policies, and other pertinent information to the managers in his/her market
  • Lead the mindset that “recruitment is everyone’s responsibility” within the store and cultivate a lineup of potential talent for open roles that embody an American Luxury Brand

Customer Care

  • Work directly with GM of Retail to implement strategies to elevate in-store service experience and increase profit performance of each retail location through best of class retail teams & talent
  • Act as an ambassador for the brand; model brand standards for customer service and hold the team to the same standards
  • Lead and drive clientele development efforts across all communications & touchpoints including our in-store app
  • Design and develop strategic initiatives that engage and develop existing clients
  • Take a proactive and creative approach to introducing Lafayette 148 to new customers
  • Maintain relationships within the community and partner with local organizations on initiatives that are important to our customers and increase brand visibility

Operational Excellence

  • In partnership with the Director of Operations, oversee store control-related operational processes including but not limited to: inventory management, loss prevention, store expenses, audits, and payroll for the market
  • Assume responsibilities for loss prevention in all areas of risk management, security, cash handling, and inventory management
  • Develop strong working knowledge of POS systems, Proximity Insights Clienteling platform, technologies, and all internal operational procedures
  • Ensure consistent execution of visual presentation initiatives and standards through communication and partnership with Visual Merchandising team


  • Drive financial performance of each retail boutique to achieve company established targets including net sales, full price sell-through and payroll management
  • Analyze KPI’s and other relevant data to identify opportunities to maximize business, and report information to corporate partners
  • Create and maintain a ‘best in class’ selling environment that meets and exceeds Lafayette 148 selling standards
  • Create and execute local business development marketing strategies to engage existing clients and foster new client acquisition
  • In partnership with GM of Retail and Buying & Planning team, analyze business needs & performance (full price sell through) by location. Engage proactive dialog with buying team to communicate customers’ requests and surface merchandise opportunities
  • Conduct store visits and drives action based on successes, gaps and learning’s. Reports back to key corporate partners for improved visibility/retail intelligence and strategic alignment of opportunities and efforts in the Florida market

Desired Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree


  • 8+ years of retail management experience in the designer/ luxury sector
  • Proven track record of success in managing a commissioned selling environment


  • Highly organized and able to adapt quickly to changing priorities
  • Ability to develop, plan, and execute strategies to maximize opportunities
  • Proficiency in utilizing available technology including Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to work evenings, weekends and holiday schedules
