The Field & Market Coordinator is responsible for driving sales revenue and margin goals within a specific territory of responsibility. This position is focused on working intimately with the major department stores to provide product knowledge, oversee shop standards, drive associate engagement, and build loyal clients for the brand.



  • Ensure that all sales and sell thru metrics are achieved within the responsibility territory
  • Ensure that visual merchandising standards reflect the brand standard for the responsible territory
  • Serve as the “face of the brand” by maintaining a standard of appearance reflective of the Lafayette 148 NY brand
  • Strategize with Regional Manager, cross functional partners, and store management to plan and execute initiatives to drive sales throughout the season
  • Schedule weekly store visits to maintain customer relations, drive sales, and maintain floor standards
  • Execute seasonal product knowledge seminars in each target door. Utilize tools such as samples and seasonal collateral to train associates on product and company philosophy
  • Build a network of sellers (OHB) throughout the store to generate sales and new clients for the brand
  • Plan and execute in-store events within the territory including wardrobing presentations, selling events, and being a presence during promotional store events
  • Responsible for event sample timeline and shipping being executed correctly & according to the protocol
  • Network within the local communities to introduce the brand and acquire new customers through event tie ins with professional and charity groups
  • Create and execute pre-sell initiatives as related to special events. Fulfill role as product expert to work appointments with associates and their clients
  • Schedule pre-season strategy meetings with management in each target door to review business, identify opportunities for growth, and create initiatives to improve full price sell through
  • Train all Specialists and Brand Ambassadors within the territory. Responsible for follow up with specialists to obtain monthly reports and monitor clothing allowance
  • Ability to maintain professional boundaries while maintaining working relationships within all levels of management and associates
  • Being flexible to day to day business needs while remaining customer centric, lead by example. Travel required
  • Ensure all clothing, W-9 forms and contest rewards are submitted in a timely manner. Follow thru with all associates involved
  • Coordinate monthly travel calendars (visits) according to both store needs and business needs – analyze and prioritize top tier doors
  • Complete weekly/ monthly store visit reports and drop photos of stores into Discover
  • Maintain T&E budgets, Immersion Training, and Surprise + Delight budgets for the responsible territory
  • Provide competitive feedback, ideas, and suggestions based on the knowledge of the local market and store environment back to Corporate partners
  • Schedule regular touch bases with each Senior Account Executive to brain storm about growth opportunities


Desired Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree required



  • 5+ years’ retail/ wholesale experience, with 2+ years’ experience in the luxury & designer sector



  • Proven ability to effectively drive sales and sell through beyond targets
  • Leadership skills related to clientele development and service standards
  • Ability to work as an individual or in a team setting
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, proactive thinker
  • Technologically proficient with Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Adobe reader, and social media platforms
