The Brooklyn Public Library’s Central Branch serves as both setting and source material for Fall 2023, a collection that draws from the grace and refinement of the building’s Toshiko Mori-led architectural evolution and taps into the rich archive of literary stories by American women authors housed within.

Silhouettes imbued with L148’s signature sculptural simplicity echo the curves of the library’s soaring lobby, while graphic gridded motifs play off the oak paneling of its walls. From tactile coats and cocooning sweaters to sharply cut tweed tailoring and an understated twist on the writer’s scarf, the intellectual sartorial script is rewritten in a modern, New York narrative for fall’s first act.​
