Lafayette 148 New York is looking for a self-motivated, organized and analytical Accessories Assistant for the growing Accessories Department. This Individual will support the Accessories division through the full 360 lifecycles of product from development, sampling, market, shipping, to final product. As a result, the Accessories Assistant will be a point person for the division and gain exposure to the various facets of our Company’s business, while working with several cross-functional teams within the company.



  • Style and Data Set-up
  • Sample Coordination
  • Selling and Department Analytics
  • Market/Product Research Recaps
  • Participate in Market Process – Showroom set-up, presentations, communication with sales, retail, merchandising and production teams, line sheet set-up, daily product memos
  • Prepare and set-up for Design and Development projects
  • Communicate with partner suppliers on day-to-day development needs
  • Partners with cross-functional teams on product needs: Design, Production, PR/Marketing, Sales, Merchandising, Retail, Visual Merchandising
  • Respond to Customer Service inquiries


    Desired Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
    • 1 yr. experience in either product development, production, project management or sales
    • Exceptional organizational skills required
    • Analytical and detail oriented
    • Must have a general understanding of the development and production process
    • General comfort level with Visual Merchandising
    • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, PowerPoint
    • Presentation Skills
    • Has positive energy, great communication skills, solutions focused and can contribute to a small but growing team with large ambitions)
